Ted Lilly cold cocks his manager John Gibbons in the dugout.
He's not the first Blew Jay to scrap it up w/ the manager.
The Met's should try to pry Lilly out of Toronto to replace the injured Glavine and Pedro.

David Wells pitched a gem yesterday but the Yankees couldn't be stopped.

Sal Fasano reachs the pinnacle of celebrity. Sal was featured in Richard Johnson's gossip column in The New York Post today.
August 22, 2006 -- SOMEONE is having fun with Yankee backup catcher Sal Fasano. At a couple of recent games at the stadium, Fasano's cleanshaven face was put on the scoreboard when he was at bat even though he has a bushy mustache in real life. Then, the next time up, a picture with what looks like a cheesy magic-markered mustache replaced the cleanshaven one. Fasano, a journeyman player, is probably happy to have any of his mugshots up on the board, defaced or not

Chien-Ming Wang gives our dog Sal some major props in today's Ny Times!

"Wang credits his sinker to Neil Allen, his pitching coach at Columbus in 2004, and Sal Fasano, who caught him then.
“He’s got that unique ability that whatever you teach him, he can throw with almost immediate success,” said Fasano, now the Yankees’ backup catcher. “But that’s why you have to be careful.”
In Columbus, Wang threw six pitches, which Fasano said he considered too many. Wang took to the sinker so quickly, Fasano said, that it made sense to master that pitch and throw it roughly 90 percent of the time.
Please tell Fat Albert to never do this again!
